That’s me, age 5. Hammering some nails into a block of wood like a true craftsmen.
While my skills have improved, one thing remains through the years, and that’s my passion for storytelling.
EVERY STORY HAS A SPARK
In 2015, I took a spur of the moment trip to Arkansas to visit my Grandparents.
I had been developing my skillset as a photographer, and knew I wanted to capture them in a way that encapsulated their story as best I could.
I photographed them together, as well as a few shots of them on their own doing things they loved. My Grandma in her kitchen, my Papa in his shop.
Capturing my Grandpa at the Lathe definitely ignited an interest in woodworking for me.
And while I wouldn’t pick up a tool belt for a few more years, I can say that this set of images 100% inspired me to pursue the task of capturing the story behind makers and their work.
