Snowy Sioux Falls Engagement

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is being able to document moments and milestones in the lives of my friends and family. Needless to say, when my Sister-In-Law Alicia asked if I would be up for shooting an engagement session with her fiancé Rob, I was thrilled!

On top of that, they wanted to take photos in their hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota! As a lifelong Texan, I rarely (never) get to take photographs in the snow, so this was a welcome change of scenery!

We started near Sioux Falls Outdoor campus, a wonderful outdoor park with an incredible bridge crossing the Big Sioux River. It was cold and SO windy, but we came away with one of my favorite images of the year! (Above)

From there we headed to a beautifully wooded trail along the Sioux Falls Bike Trail. I couldn't help but feel like I was stepping into Narnia for a moment. The snow-covered pine trees provided the perfect backdrop for what was easily one of my most picturesque engagement shoots of 2016.

Denton Engagement: Ryan & Ana Lisa

I had a blast last week exploring Denton with Ryan and Ana Lisa. We started at the Texas Women's University Chapel in the Woods, made our way to the square in downtown Denton, and did a bit of exploring from there. They are getting married at the end of July at Fort Worth's Belltower Chapel and Garden, and I can not wait to photograph their wedding!
